Aluminum Shell Resistors
Aluminum shell resistors (brake resistors / start-up resistors / winding resistors / discharge resistors / power-up buffer resistors). Uses high-temperature-resistant mullite porcelain tubes as the winding matrix with weather resistance, vibration resistance, and safety superior to traditional corrugated resistors. Filled with high-temperature insulating quartz sand for strong impact resistance and high heat capacity. Ideal supporting product for power electronics across frequency converters, elevators, braking, ships, and industrial automation.
About the Aluminum Shell Resistors
Aluminum shell resistors soak up extra electrical energy during motor braking, start-up, and speed changes. They protect both the inverter and the motor from voltage spikes. They are used in Guangu polishing machines and many other industrial setups.
Inside, a mullite porcelain tube holds the iron-chromium-aluminum wire winding. The tube is filled with quartz sand. This design handles high temperatures, absorbs impacts, and stores heat well. The aluminum shell on the outside resists corrosion and radiates heat away.
This build is tougher than older corrugated wire resistors. It handles weather, vibration, and rough factory conditions better. You can bolt on extra heat sinks if your machine runs heavy duty cycles.
Two sizes are available: 500W-150Ω (for smaller machines and light braking) and 1000W-75Ω (for bigger machines and heavy braking like the GG2380 and GG2980). Pick the right one based on your inverter power and braking needs.
